![]() ![]() The reason is that Xpadder does not actually communicate with the game/program at all Xpadder asks Windows to simulate the relevant keypresses and mouse actions. I dont believe xpadder is going to help here. Contact: Game and program compatibility questions by Jonathan, 12:45 Will Xpadder work with my game/program Xpadder works with 99.9 of games and programs. I think there is a similar method of native analog support for Deadly Shadows either via menu or configuration edits, it's a different engine (UE2) but it was developed with the Xbox in mind so it should be very possible. Have you tried to simply switch analog/digital by pressing F5 in the game. The problem is you can not use controller AND mouse. Should be the exact same method for Thief 2. Quote from: roads on 06:05 AM - 07/21/14 -Xpadder is no real analogue joystick but an 8 way I think. Now Garrett's movement speed will respond to how much pressure one applies to the analog stick, which I honestly think people who are going to go ahead and use a controller, will be much better off with. This would work far more effectively than the incremental system you got there and wouldn't affect your key binds (well, buttons, since it is a controller). If you look a couple of lines down you can configure your sensitivity and dead zone as well. ![]() Go into your main Thief directory, open the user BND file, scroll all the way down and make sure it reads "joystick_enable 1". Run Thief, go in the options, enable joystick, exit Thief. I may be mistaken but the steps would be. Why don't you use the native analog support both Thief 1 and 2 have available? I remember doing this about four-five years back when I was transitioning between builds and only had a laptop with a touch pad to play old games on. RB - Tap for Next Weapon, Hold for Previous (Mouse Wheel Up and Down)ĭpad Down - Zoom Out Eye (Down Arrow) Zoom out fully or walk to put away.īack - Objectives Screen (O) Use the right stick to navigate to map screen. Right Analog Stick - Aim and navigate menus (sensitivity is 50 for X axis, 40 for Y axis) Just leave all the controls default, my Xpadder file should match up perfectly. The Thief 1 and 2 file basically fill in the functions that the in game menu doesn't allow you to map, such as the two analog triggers on the 360 pad that the game doesn't recognize, escape key on the start button, and the right analog stick for aiming.įor Thief Deadly Shadows, since the game crashes if you try to map anything, i've mapped everything apart from the left analog which is enabled by default. ![]()
